Cefaclor Usage: this medication is an antibiotic that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections.
How to use Cefaclor: Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine in you're body is kept at constant level. Do this by taking the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night. this medication works best when taken on an empty stomach. However, if stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food. Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a some days. Stopping drug too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of infection.
Cefaclor side effects: this tablet may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nausea, & vomiting. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist promptly. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: fever, simple bleeding or bruising, change at the amount of urine, seizures. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immeditial doctor attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Cefaclor Precautions: Before taking this drug, tell some your healthcare professional if you allergic to any drugs, especially: penicillins, cephalosporins. Inform your physician of any medical conditions, especially about: kidney disease. Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in a secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal yeast infection). Caution is advised when using it drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of the pill. Tell your physician if you pregnant before using this medication. it medication is excreted into breast milk. Though no problems have been noted, consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Cefaclor drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: pill since gout (e.g., probenecid). this drug may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your pharmacist. Cephalosporins may cause false positive results at tests since sugar at the urine. Diabetics should use Clinistix rather then Clinitest tablets. Blood sugar testing isn't affected. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Cefaclor Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain.
Cefaclor special notes: this medication has been prescribed since youre current condition only. don't use it later for another infection or give this to someone else. different med may be necessary.
If you missed Cefaclor dose: If you must miss dose, take this as soon as remembered unless It's almost clock for next dose. If it is nearly clock for the next dose, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose.
Cefaclor Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
