Warning: children and teenagers should not use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related medications for flu symptoms or chickenpox without 1'st consulting pharmacist. rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.

Bayer Extra Strength Usage: Aspirin is used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever, to reduce inflammation & swelling in conditions such as arthritis & is used in low doses as 'blood thinner' to prevent formation of blood clots. Its effective at reducing risk of stroke & offers a protective effect against heart attacks in men with chest pain.

How to use Bayer Extra Strength: Take by mouth with food or after meals to prevent stomach upset. Take this tablet with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless youre healthcare professional directs you otherwise. don't lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. Sustained release, long acting or enteric-coated preparations should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity may be destroyed & side effects increased.

Bayer Extra Strength side effects: Stomach upset is the most common side effect. Others include heartburn, loss of appetite or dizziness. Notify your pharmacist if any of these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop: persistent ringing in ears, difficulty hearing, dark urine, yellowing eyes, simple bruising, persistent stomach pain, black stools. at the unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Bayer Extra Strength Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your healthcare professional before using aspirin: liver disease, kidney disease, bleeding disorders, ulcers, stomach/intestinal problems, nasal polyps, gout, asthma, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). children & teenagers must not take aspirin if they have chickenpox, influenza or any undiagnosed illness with out first consulting pharmacist about Reye's syndrome, rare but serious illness. If you have congestive heart failure or on sodium- restricted diet, do not take effervescent aspirin tablets or powders because they are high in sodium. If you have had oral surgery or your tonsils removed in last seven days, do not use chewable aspirin meds, effervescent aspirin or aspirin in crushed pills or gargles. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. cash with your pharmacist or healthcare professional for more information. Aspirin isnt recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your pharmacist before taking aspirin. Aspirin is excreted into breast milk. Though to date theyre have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding. Aspirin that has strong vinegar-like odor is old & shouldn't be used.

Bayer Extra Strength med interactions: Tell you're doctor of every prescription & nonprescription pills you may use, especially: 'blood thinners' (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs such as warfarin, heparins, NSAIDs), acetazolamide, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), methotrexate, medication for gout, pill for diabetes. If you have diabetes, regular high-dose use of aspirin may affect test results since urine sugar. Aspirin is an ingredient in many over-the-counter products. To prevent an overdose about aspirin, read labels carefully before taking other pain relievers or cold products to be sure they do not contain aspirin. Consult some your pharmacist if you uncertain your over-the-counter goods contain aspirin. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Bayer Extra Strength Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, burning pain at throat and stomach, loss of appetite, fever, tremors, confusion, headache, dizziness, weakness, ringing in ears, fast or slow breathing, agitation, constipation, seizures, fainting, or unconsciousness.

Bayer Extra Strength special notes: there are much different dosage forms for aspirin products. few have special coatings or contain buffers & some long acting. Ask some your doctor or doctor for recommendations on the best product for you.

If you missed Bayer Extra Strength dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Bayer Extra Strength Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
