Stool Softener Usage: this medication is used since short-term treatment of constipation.
How to use Stool Softener: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking it drug. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Stool Softener side effects: it drug may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. this medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. it isn't harmful. Notify your doctor if you develop: rectal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, persistent constipation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.
Stool Softener Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, hypertension, edema, allergies (especially to tartrazine). Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. this drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're healthcare professional. Consult your doctor before using any medication while breast-feeding.
Stool Softener drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption about some tablets, Its important to tell you're pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.
Stool Softener Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss about appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.

If you missed Stool Softener dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Stool Softener Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & moisture. do not store in bathroom.
