Chromagen Fa Usage: Iron is an important mineral used by red blood cells to carry oxygen through body. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) improves the absorption about iron from stomach. this medication is used as dietary supplement to prevent or treat iron deficiency anemia.
How to use Chromagen Fa: this medication is usually taken once a day as directed. do not exceed recommended dosage. this medication is best taken on an empty stomach, but may be taken with meals if stomach upset occurs. Take with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless you're doctor directs you otherwise. don't lie down for 30 minutes after taking this medication.
Chromagen Fa side effects: most poeple can take this medication with minimal or no side effects. Stomach upset may occur. Stools may appear darker at color due to the iron. don't be alarmed. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Chromagen Fa Precautions: do not take ferrous sulfate (iron) without consulting healthcare professional if you have: ulcers, colitis, intestinal disease. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Chromagen Fa drug interactions: Tell your physician about all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: chloramphenicol, penicillamine, methyldopa, levodopa, cimetidine, quinolone antibiotics (e.g., ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin). Avoid taking iron at same time as antacids or tetracycline antibiotics. Wait at least two hours between taking iron & an antacid or tetracycline. Eggs and milk decrease iron absorption. Coffee and tea that is drunk with meal or 1 hour after meal may also decrease iron absorption. Because ferrous sulfate may cause false results in tests for blood in the stools, tell the doctor or laboratory personnel that you take ferrous sulfate. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Foods rich in iron include beans, nuts, asparagus, oatmeal, red meat, dried peaches, and pork liver.
If you missed Chromagen Fa dose: Take missed dose as soon as you remember; don't take if it is almost clock for following dose. Instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Chromagen Fa Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom. Keep out of reach of kid.
