    Ri Mag Usage: Magaldrate is an antacid. it neutralizes & reduces stomach acid relieving heartburn & indigestion. it is used to treat an upset stomach, ulcers, hiatal hernia & other digestive disorders.

    How to use Ri Mag: Take this med as directed usually between meals & at bedtime. do not take more of this than prescribed. Too many antacid can actually increase the amount of acid stomach produces. liquid form should be shaken well before pouring each dose. Chewable pills are to be chewed thoroughly before swallowing. Follow with glass about water. Non-chewable tablets must be swallowed whole followed with glass about water.

    Ri Mag side effects: this drug is generally well tolerated. Loss of appetite, diarrhea or constipation may occur. Notify some your physician if you develop: vomiting of coffee ground- love material, dark urine, tar-like stools. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or physician.

    Ri Mag Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: stomach disorders, kidney disease, allergies. this pill must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. Consult your physician before using any pill while breast-feeding.

    Ri Mag medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, especially about: iron, tetracycline, oral antidiabetic medication, digoxin. Avoid taking any tablet within 1 to 2 hours of taking an antacid. the antacid may interfere with absorption of drug. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Ri Mag Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Ri Mag special notes: this drug is available in various forms: suspension, chewable meds or swallow tablets. Ask your pharmacist or pharmacist to help select best product for you.

    If you missed Ri Mag dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if this is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Ri Mag Storage: Store tablets and capsules at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. liquid form about this med may be stored in the refrigerator to improve taste.
