    Iron/vitamin c/vitamin b12/stomach concentrate - oral

    common brand names: Chromagen, Ferragen

    Warning: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in child under 6 years about age. Keep it product out of reach of children. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center.

    Simular Drugs : Chromagen, Chromagen Fa, Chromagen Forte, Chromagen Ob

    Chromagen Usage: Iron is major transporter about oxygen in body. Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron. Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) is important to body for growth, cell production, blood and nerve function. Stomach concentrate enhances the absorption of Vitamin B12. this combination drug is used in treatment of anemia or 'iron-poor' blood.

    How to use Chromagen: Take this pill by mouth as directed. this pill contains iron. it drug is best taken between meals since better absorption of iron. However, it may be taken with food or a meal if stomach upset occurs. Take each dose with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless youre doctor directs you otherwise. Swallow this whole. don't crush or chew drug. don't lie down for 30 minutes after taking it medication. don't exceed recommended dosage.

    Chromagen side effects: this medication is generally well tolerated. Constipation or stomach upset may occur. Notify you're doctor if you develop: vomiting, stomach cramps, skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

    Chromagen Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: other illnesses, allergies (especially med allergies). Ingestion of alcohol may increase chance of stomach upset.

    Chromagen drug interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take, especially of: all vitamin products, antacids, antibiotics. Avoid taking any tetracycline antibiotic within 1 to 2 hours of taking this because the iron component may interfere with absorption of tetracycline. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or physician approval.

    Chromagen Overdose: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is leading cause about death poisoning in children under six. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Chromagen special notes: Blood tests may be done to check your response to this med. this is important to maintain well balanced diet to ensure adequate intake of vitamins & minerals.

    If you missed Chromagen dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Chromagen Storage: Store this medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in bathroom. Keep out of reach about children.
