Cedax Usage: this medication is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide variety about bacterial infection such as bronchitis, middle ear infections, pharyngitis & tonsillitis.
How to use Cedax: Take it drug by mouth as directed usually one time a day for 10 days. Shake well before pouring each dose. this is best taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after a meal. Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine in your body is kept at constant level. Therefore take this drug at the same time each day. Continue to take it medication until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the med too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in relapse about infection.
Cedax side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness or headache may occur. If these symptoms continue or become severe, inform youre doctor promptly. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: fever, simple bleeding or bruising, mental/mood changes, black stool, skin problems, joint pain, yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, change in amount of urine, seizures. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immeditial doctor attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: difficulty breathing, skin rash, hives, itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Cedax Precautions: Tell you're doctor your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, diabetes, stomach or intestinal disorders, colitis, allergies (especially to penicillins, cephalosporins or other antibiotics). Use caution driving or operating machinery if this makes you dizzy. Tell you're pharmacist if you are pregnant before taking this drug. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. this is unknown if this pill is excreted at to breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
Cedax drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any nonprescription or prescription medication you may take. this med may interfere with effectiveness of birth control meds. Discuss using other methods about birth control with your pharmacist. it medication may cause false positive results in tests for sugar in the urine. Diabetics should use TesTape rather than Clinitest tablets to test for sugar while using this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Cedax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include muscle spasms and seizures.
Cedax special notes: this has been prescribed since your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different tablet may be necessary.
If you missed Cedax dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as you remember. If It's near time of next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cedax Storage: Refrigerate at 36 to 46 degrees F (2 to 8 degrees C). don't freeze. Discard any unused med after 14 days.
