V R Tussin Cough Cold Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat cough and relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use V R Tussin Cough Cold: this pill is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting meds and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.
V R Tussin Cough Cold side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform youre doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
V R Tussin Cough Cold Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any medication allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. it medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
V R Tussin Cough Cold drug interactions: Tell youre doctor about every prescription and nonprescription drugs you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or doctor approval.
V R Tussin Cough Cold Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change at behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, big pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
V R Tussin Cough Cold special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this tablet. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed V R Tussin Cough Cold dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near time since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
V R Tussin Cough Cold Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store at the bathroom.
