Extendryl Sr Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat and itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have drying effect on mucous secretions. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Extendryl Sr: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more many times then directed. this tablet is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack. Long-acting tablets & capsules should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or the long action may be destroyed & chance about side effects increased.

Extendryl Sr side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose and eyes may occur the first some days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Extendryl Sr Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. dollars this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Extendryl Sr drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: medication for blood pressure, med for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell your healthcare professional if you take drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Extendryl Sr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, quick breathing, fever, hot dry & flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

Extendryl Sr special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Extendryl Sr dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time since the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Extendryl Sr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
