Guaifed Pd Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guaifed Pd: Take it drug by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Guaifed Pd side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first some days as some your body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.
Guaifed Pd Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Guaifed Pd drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication since hypertension. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Guaifed Pd Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.

If you missed Guaifed Pd dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guaifed Pd Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
