Extendryl JR Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat & itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have a drying effect on mucous secretions. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.

How to use Extendryl JR: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Long-acting tablets & capsules should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or long action may be destroyed & chance about side effects increased.

Extendryl JR side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose & eyes may occur the 1st few days as your body adjusts to medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or physician.

Extendryl JR Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre physician promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts about this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Extendryl JR drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: med for blood pressure, med for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell youre doctor if you take drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety tablets (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit some your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

Extendryl JR Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, fast breathing, fever, hot dry and flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

Extendryl JR special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this tablet. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Extendryl JR dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Extendryl JR Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
