Diocto Usage: this drug helps fluids to mix with stool to keep them from becoming hard or dry. this is used to treat constipation.

How to use Diocto: Swallow capsules & meds whole with full glass of water or juice. liquid & syrup forms must be given in six to 8 ounces of milk or juice to prevent throat irritation. Relief is usually obtained in 1 to 3 days after first dose.

Diocto side effects: it drug can cause stomach ache, cramping or irritated throat (liquid and syrup forms). If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your physician if you experience: skin rash, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use about laxatives can cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.

Diocto Precautions: don't take aspirin (unless prescribed by youre doctor) or mineral oil while taking stool softeners. If you pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take over-the-counter stool softeners (or any other nonprescription medication) without obtaining your doctor's advice.

Diocto medication interactions: this drug isn't recommended for use with mineral oil. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more info. Tell you're doctor of all prescription and nonprescription med you may use, especially aspirin.

Diocto Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Diocto special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink 4 to 6 glasses about water daily, include bulk or roughage in your diet, & exercise regularly.

If you missed Diocto dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Diocto Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
