Cecon Usage: Ascorbic acid (also known as vitamin C) is used to treat & prevent vitamin C deficiency. Vitamin C deficiency can lead to to scurvy.
How to use Cecon: Take this medication with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless you're healthcare professional directs you otherwise. do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this med. Chewable meds must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed with glass of water. Timed-release capsules or tablets must be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew them. Mix the powder form in glass of juice or water. Stir well & drink immediately.
Cecon side effects: it drug may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, mouth sores, or frequent urination. Promptly consult your physician if any about these effects persist or worsen. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any symptoms about kidney stones develop, such as: abdominal/back pain, painful urination. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Cecon Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: diabetes, blood disorders, kidney stones, any medication or food allergies. big doses of ascorbic acid may cause kidney stones. check with your healthcare professional before taking big doses with-out a prescription. Tell you're pharmacist if you pregnant before using this medication. Ascorbic acid is considered safe during pregnancy when not taken excessively. Ascorbic acid is excreted into breast milk. Though theyre have been (to date) no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Cecon drug interactions: Tell your physician of all medicines you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: every vitamin & mineral supplements. If you take aspirin on regular schedule, consult your pharmacist before taking ascorbic acid. Ascorbic acid may affect laboratory tests, including urine tests for sugar. Diabetics should consult there doctor or pharmacist for the correct way to test their urine while taking large amounts about ascorbic acid. Before you have any tests, tell the laboratory personnel & doctor that you are taking this medication. don't start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or doctor approval.
Cecon Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include change in amount of urine or joint pain.
Cecon special notes: Foods that contain large amounts about vitamin C include citrus fruit, strawberries, potatoes, tomatoes, leafy vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, eggs & dairy goods. Eat more about these foods to increase amount of vitamin C in youre diet. there much ascorbic acid supplement products available. many can be purchased with out a prescription. Consult you're doctor or pharmacist on choice about a product best for you.
If you missed Cecon dose: If you miss dose, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Cecon Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
