Velosef Usage: this drug is cephalosporin antibiotic & is used to treat wide variety of bacterial infections.
How to use Velosef: liquid suspension form of this med must be shaken well before using. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at constant level. Do this by taking the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. Continue to take this tablet until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping med too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of the infection.
Velosef side effects: this medication may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting. Take with food or milk to minimize these effects. If they persist or become severe, inform some your doctor promptly. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: fever, simple bleeding or bruising, a change in amount about urine, seizures. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: difficulty breathing, skin rash, hives, itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Velosef Precautions: Before taking this drug, tell youre healthcare professional if you have: allergies (including penicillins, cephalosporins, or any another drug), kidney disease. Use about it medication since prolonged or repeated periods may result in a secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal yeast infection). Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of the drug. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. this isnot known if it medication is found in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Velosef drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: drugs used since gout such as probenecid. this tablet may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods about birth control with your physician. this drug can cause false positive results in tests for sugar in urine. Diabetics should use Clinistix rather than Clinitest tablets. Blood sugar testing isn't affected. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Velosef Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain.
Velosef special notes: this drug has been prescribed for you're current condition only. don't use this later for another infection or give it to someone else. different medication may be necessary.
If you missed Velosef dose: If you should miss dose, take this as soon as remembered unless Its almost time for next dose. If It's nearly time for next dose, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose.
Velosef Storage: Follow label warnings about whether or not to refrigerate. do not freeze. don't store in bathroom. Discard any unused portion after 14 days because drug loses potency.
