Severe Congestion Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Severe Congestion: Take it medication by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the drug. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it pill as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer then prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Severe Congestion side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this med may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Severe Congestion Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your pharmacist. Its not known if this tablet appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Severe Congestion medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, med for depression, med for high blood pressure. Tell your healthcare professional if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Severe Congestion Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Severe Congestion special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Severe Congestion dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Severe Congestion Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
