Pseudovent Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Pseudovent: Take this pill by mouth. it must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the drug. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take it more much times or longer then prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Pseudovent side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Pseudovent Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. Its not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Pseudovent drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell your pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.
Pseudovent Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
Pseudovent special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Pseudovent dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost time since the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Pseudovent Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
