Guaimist S Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) help relieve nasal congestion. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guaimist S: Take this drug by mouth as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Guaimist S side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness or headache may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.
Guaimist S Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart problems, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. this pill must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Guaimist S medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication since depression, high blood pressure drugs. Tell your healthcare professional if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.
Guaimist S Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
Guaimist S special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Guaimist S dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guaimist S Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
