Meruvax Ii Usage: it medication is vaccine against rubella virus (German measles). It's given to prevent or control outbreaks of rubella.
How to use Meruvax Ii: it medication is given by injection under skin by health care professional as one time dose. Adults usually receive the injection in upper arm and children receive it in the upper thigh muscle.
Meruvax Ii side effects: most common is burning or stinging at the injection site. Mild fever, rash, sore throat, headache & weakness occur infrequently. If any of these effects continue beyond 2 days or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: high fever, breathing trouble, muscle or joint aches. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Meruvax Ii Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: other illnesses, infections, blood disorders, any allergies. this med should not be given during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're pharmacist. Because this drug appears in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Meruvax Ii drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: steroids, anticancer medications, immunosuppressants. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Meruvax Ii Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Meruvax Ii special notes: the rubella vaccine is recommended as part of the immunization schedule to be given at 15 months about age. it is usually combined with the mumps and measles vaccine as a single dose. do not inject intravenously or use nasally. Its important to understand risks and benefits of vaccinations. Discuss them with your healthcare professional.
If you missed Meruvax Ii dose: It's recommended to receive each vaccination as scheduled. Be sure to make note at youre medical history of when vaccination was last given. this is usually given as one time dose. As with most medications, do not 'double-up' dose if a dose is missed.
