    Ibuprofen suspension - oral

    Ibuprofen Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory med (NSAID), which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). Its used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this med is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches & pain due to the common cold or flu. it drug works by blocking enzyme in some your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever. don't give this medication to children younger than 2 years of age unless directed to do so by the physician.

    How to use Ibuprofen: Shake the bottle well before each dose. Measure out each dose carefully and take this med by mouth with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless some your doctor directs you otherwise. do not lie down for in least 30 minutes after taking this drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking it med, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. in child, the dosage is also based on weight. Read product instructions to find the appropriate dose for you're child's weight, or consult the pharmacist or doctor if you have questions. If repeat doses are needed, they usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by pharmacist. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to 2 weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits of this drug take effect. If you use it medication for migraine headache, & pain isnt relieved or worsens after 1st dose, tell you're doctor immediately. If you treating yourself or giving this medication to child for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    Ibuprofen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your pharmacist or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling about hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, simple bruising or bleeding. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. it drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult you're physician or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. it drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of next highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your pharmacist or doctor immediately: yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Ibuprofen Precautions: it medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your pharmacist or pharmacist if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using it medication, tell youre physician or pharmacist some your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in the nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine can cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your doctor or physician for more text. this drug may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. this product can contain sugar. Caution is advised if you have diabetes. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist of the safe use of this product. Caution is advised when using it drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this pill should be used only when clearly needed during the first six months of pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during last 3 months of pregnancy due to potential for fetal and serious harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. it drug passes into breast milk. While they're have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Ibuprofen drug interactions: Before using this drug, tell your physician or pharmacist about every prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: alendronate, other medications for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure tablets (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, and beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). bucks every prescription and nonprescription medicine labels carefully for many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to it drug. If you also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your doctor for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages 81-325 mg per day), continue to take aspirin & consult your physician or pharmacist before using ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or doctor approval.

    Ibuprofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss about consciousness, or seizures.

    Ibuprofen special notes: don't share this drug with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or cash for side effects. Consult youre healthcare professional for more details.

    If you missed Ibuprofen dose: If you prescribed it drug on a regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time of next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.

    Ibuprofen Storage: Store at room temperature according to product directions away from light & moisture. do not store in bathroom. Keep every medicines away from children & pets.
