Velcade Usage: this medication is cancer chemotherapy drug used to treat certain types of tumors (e.g., multiple myeloma). this blocks certain proteins which helps to slow the growth and spread about cancer.
How to use Velcade: this drug is given by injection into vein (IV) by healthcare professional. dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. Follow all directions for proper mixing. Before using, cash this pill visually for particles or discoloration. If ether is present, do not use the liquid. If you have questions regarding the use of it pill, consult pharmacist. it is important to drink plenty about fluids while you are being treated with it drug to prevent becoming dehydrated. Read the Patient information Leaflet that comes with it drug, and consult youre pharmacist or pharmacist if you have any questions.
Velcade side effects: Dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, tiredness, weakness, or blurred vision may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify youre doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell some your doctor immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: simple bruising or bleeding, tingling/numbness/pain/burning feeling of the hands or feet (peripheral neuropathy), fainting. this pill can lower some your body's ability to fight an infection. Notify youre doctor promptly if you develop any signs of an infection such as fever, chills, or persistent sore throat. Tell your physician immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: stomach pain, black stools, coffee-ground vomit, trouble breathing, swelling or pain in the lower legs, fast/irregular heartbeat, chest pain, one-sided weakness, vision problems, slurred speech, mental/mood changes (e.g., sometimes, thoughts about suicide), seizures, change in amount of urine. An allergic reaction to it medication is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Velcade Precautions: Before using this tablet, tell your doctor or pharmacist some your medical history, especially about: nerve sensation problems (e.g., peripheral neuropathy), low blood pressure, loss of body fluids (dehydration), diabetes, liver disease, severe kidney disease, any allergies (especially to boron or mannitol). To minimize dizziness & lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a seated or lying position. it drug may make you dizzy or cause vision changes; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. do not have immunizations/vaccinations without consent of your doctor & avoid contact with person who have recently received oral polio vaccine. Use caution with sharp objects like safety razors or nail cutters & avoid activities such as contact sports to lower chance of getting cut, bruised, or injured. Wash youre hands well to prevent spread of infections. this drug must not be used during pregnancy. this can cause fetal harm. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform you're pharmacist immediately. Use reliable forms about birth control during treatment with this tablet. Consult your physician for more details. it isnot known whether it medication passes into breast milk. Breast-feeding is not recommended while using it med due to the potential risk to nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Velcade tablet interactions: Before using it drug, tell your pharmacist or pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: medications to treat high blood pressure, oral anti-diabetic pills, other meds that may cause peripheral neuropathy (e.g., amiodarone, isoniazid, nitrofurantoin, certain anti-virals such as acyclovir, ritonavir, zidovudine). do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Velcade Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: fainting or persistent fever.
Velcade special notes: do not share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., complete blood counts, platelets) should be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor since more details.
If you missed Velcade dose: it is important to use each dose at scheduled time. If you miss dose, contact your physician to establish new dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Velcade Storage: Store unopened vials at room temperature (77 degrees F or 25 degrees C). Store vials at original package to protect from light. Brief storage between 59 to 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. once mixed, use solution within 8 hours. do not store in bathroom. Keep every medicines away from kid & pets.
