Cough Formula Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Cough Formula: Take it drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often then directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.

Cough Formula side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're physician. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

Cough Formula Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. for small amounts of this drug are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Cough Formula drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Cough Formula Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.

Cough Formula special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Cough Formula dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Cough Formula Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
