Promethazine with meperidine - oral

Meprozine Usage: Promethazine is used to relieve nausea and vomiting. Meperidine is narcotic pain reliever. this combination medicine is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
How to use Meprozine: To prevent upset stomach, take this drug with food or milk. Pain pills work best in preventing pain before it occurs. once the pain becomes intense, medication is not as effective in relieving this. Take this med exactly as prescribed. do not increase some your dose, take it more frequently or use it since longer period about time than prescribed because this drug canbe habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period of clock, do not suddenly stop using it drug without youre doctor's approval. Over time, this tablet may not work as well. Consult you're doctor if this drug isnt relieving pain sufficiently.
Meprozine side effects: may cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, or flushing first few days as your body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Meprozine Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, kidney disease, lung disease, asthma, ulcers, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, seizures, medication dependency, any allergies (especially drug allergies). Use caution when engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving & using machinery because this drug may make you drowsy and/or dizzy. Limit alcohol intake so as not to increase the drowsiness/dizziness effect of this drug. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're doctor. Promethazine is excreted in to breast milk & may have undesirable effects on the nursing infant. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Meprozine drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, tablet for depression, drug since seizures, other narcotic pain drug, cimetidine. Tell you're physician, in last 2 weeks, if you have taken MAO inhibitors such as: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid, procarbazine, moclobemide. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Meprozine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow, shallow breathing; lack of feeling alert; loss about consciousness; weakness; cold, clammy skin; & slow heart rate.
Meprozine special notes: To prevent constipation, increase your intake of fiber, drink plenty of water & exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. this is a strong medication which is to be used only as prescribed. this should not be used to treat a simple headache or any other painful conditions unless directed to do so by your doctor.
If you missed Meprozine dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if Its almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Meprozine Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in medical emergency.
