Benzac W 5 Usage: Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat mild to moderate acne.
How to use Benzac W 5: this medication is for topical use on the affected area only. Avoid using this in eyes, mouth & nose, & on inflamed or damaged skin. the liquid wash or bar soap is used instead of soap 1 time or twice day. Wet the skin before applying this. Gently work up a lather and rinse thoroughly. do not scrub the skin. Creams, lotions or gels usually applied once or 2 times a day to affected area. small amount is applied to affected area and rubbed in gently. Pads: Wash the affected area about skin with mild cleanser and water than dry it. next apply the pad, usually once or twice day to skin as directed.
Benzac W 5 side effects: Slight stinging, dryness and peeling may occur initially. Expect this. However, notify you're healthcare professional if the following effects occur: redness, irritation, scaly eruptions, rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Benzac W 5 Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history, especially: other skin problems, any allergies. this drug may bleach hair & colored clothing. Avoid contact. Safe use of benzoyl peroxide at children under 12 years old has not been established. Benzoyl peroxide should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this isn't known if this drug is excreted in to breast milk. Though there have no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Benzac W 5 drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all medicines you may use, both prescription & nonprescription, especially: other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Benzac W 5 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Benzac W three special notes: this medication is available in many forms such as lotion, cream, gel or cleanser & in various strengths (2.5% to 10%). some can be purchased without prescription. Discuss the various products with you're physician or physician to determine the best one for you.
If you missed Benzac W three dose: Use the missed dose as soon as you remember & resume your regular dosing schedule.
Benzac W three Storage: Store between 59 and 76 degrees F (15 & 24.4 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight.
