Guaidex Tr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. it combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Guaidex Tr: Take this pill as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.
Guaidex Tr side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1-st few days as your body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this pill makes you feel dizzy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Guaidex Tr Precautions: Tell you're physician your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. since small amounts about this drug found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Guaidex Tr drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Guaidex Tr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Guaidex Tr special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Guaidex Tr dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guaidex Tr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
