Pseudo G Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Pseudo G: Take this medication by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the pill. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. Take this med as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Pseudo G side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Pseudo G Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. it isnot known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult you're physician before breast-feeding.
Pseudo G medication interactions: Tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, medication for hypertension. Tell youre pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Pseudo G Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
Pseudo G special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Pseudo G dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Pseudo G Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at the bathroom.
