    Guaifenesin - oral

    Expectorant Usage: it medication is used to relieve dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.

    How to use Expectorant: Take each dose of it medication with full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless your physician instructs you otherwise. do not take it drug for chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your healthcare professional. If the cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult your physician.

    Expectorant side effects: it medication may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform you're physician. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

    Expectorant Precautions: If you have any of the next health problems, consult your doctor before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if it med is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Expectorant med interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of every the medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect the results about certain lab tests. Be sure your caregivers are aware you use it medicine before lab tests performed. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.

    Expectorant Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

    Expectorant special notes: it med comes in variety of dose forms such as tablets, capsules, long acting tablets or capsules & a syrup. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist to recommend the best product for you.

    If you missed Expectorant dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Expectorant Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms about it medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
