Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM: it medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more much times than directed.

Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform youre doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM med interactions: Tell your doctor about all prescription & nonprescription medications you use, especially: drug for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, big pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it med. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Pseudoephedrine Guaifenesin DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store at bathroom.
