    Decongestant - nasal spray

    Oxymetazoline HCL Usage: this drug promotes nasal drainage & relieves nasal stuffiness. it is used to relieve symptoms associated with a cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections and another related conditions. It's also used to relieve plugged ears.

    How to use Oxymetazoline HCL: this medication is used at nose as directed. To apply nasal spray, first blow your nose to help improve penetration about the drug. Keeping your head upright, place nasal spray just inside nostril being careful not to touch container to the inside of nose. Squeeze container as you inhale deeply through your nose. Sniff hard a few times to be sure medication reaches deep into nose. do not use this more often than directed or increase youre dose. Therapy usually lasts for 3 to three days. Excessive use about this med can actually increase nasal congestion.

    Oxymetazoline HCL side effects: Stinging, burning, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, drying of the nostrils, & altered taste may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify some your doctor if you develop: rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, shaking of hands, tremors, unusual weakness. this medication may cause dizziness. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

    Oxymetazoline HCL Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart problems, thyroid disease, diabetes, HBP, seizure disorder, glaucoma, allergies (especially to sulfites). the elderly & kid may be more susceptible to effects about it medication. Use this with caution. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Oxymetazoline HCL tablet interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take especially about: hypertension drugs, antidepressants, cough-and-cold or allergy drugs. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Oxymetazoline HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, unconsciousness, sweating, dizziness, headache, or unusually quick heartbeat.

    Oxymetazoline HCL special notes: there various nasal decongestants available, much of without prescription. Discuss with your physician or pharmacist best product for you.

    If you missed Oxymetazoline HCL dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Oxymetazoline HCL Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom. do not share container with anyone else. Throw away the container when medication is no longer required.
