Muco Fen DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Muco Fen DM: Take this pill as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often then directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and chance about side effects will be increased.

Muco Fen DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this med: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this drug makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or doctor.

Muco Fen DM Precautions: Tell you're doctor youre medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Muco Fen DM drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.

Muco Fen DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Muco Fen DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Muco Fen DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the clock since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Muco Fen DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store at the bathroom.
