Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia Usage: this med is used to treat occasional episodes about constipation. this acts to produce bowel movement within 6 hours of taking dose. it medication is also used for upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion or sour stomach; since peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by excess stomach acid; and to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.

How to use Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia: Take it drug as prescribed. Use only temporarily to relieve constipation. When regularity returns, stop using pill. Prolonged or continued use may result in laxative dependence. To be effective, chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by full glass about water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. do not take any other medication within 1 to 2 hours of taking it pill. since magnesium hydroxide coats the stomach, this can prevent other medications from being absorbed properly if taken at the same time.

Ex Lax Milk about Magnesia side effects: this medication may cause diarrhea. If diarrhea persists or worsens, inform youre doctor. Notify your physician if next effects occur: black/tarry stools or rectal bleeding. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia Precautions: don't take magnesium hydroxide before consulting your healthcare professional if you have following conditions: kidney disease, stomach/abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. don't give it drug to child under six years of age without first consulting doctor. Tell your pharmacist if you are pregnant before using this med. this isn't known if magnesium hydroxide is excreted into breast milk. Though there have been no reports (to date) about harm to nursing infants, consult some your doctor before using this medicine.

Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: antibiotics, quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or physician approval.

Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia special notes: Refrigerating liquid may improve the taste. (Do not freeze). the liquid form works faster and is more effective than other forms. However, chewable meds may be more convenient.

If you missed Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Ex Lax Milk of Magnesia Storage: Store capsule & pill forms in room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms about this drug.
