Pseudoephedrine W Guaifenesin Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Pseudoephedrine W Guaifenesin: Take this tablet by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew med. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. Take this med as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Pseudoephedrine W Guaifenesin side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first few days as youre body adjusts to the pill. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify youre physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this med can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. Pseudoephedrine W Guaifenesin Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this tablet must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're doctor. it isnot known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Pseudoephedrine W Guaifenesin drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, med for HBP. Tell your pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
