Hm Acid Reducer Usage: this medication reduces amount of acid in youre stomach. It's used to relieve symptoms of heartburn, indigestion & sour stomach. Ranitidine is also used to prevent heartburn from certain foods or beverages.

How to use Hm Acid Reducer: this medication is usually taken only when it is needed, up to 2 times per day (2 tablets in 24 hours). it is best taken with, or immediately after, meals to relieve symptoms of heartburn. To prevent heartburn symptoms, ranitidine should be taken 30 to 60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages that may cause heartburn. If you are taking sucralfate, ranitidine should be taken at least 2 hours before sucralfate dose.

Hm Acid Reducer side effects: Nausea, diarrhea, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, or trouble sleeping may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify you're healthcare professional. Tell youre pharmacist immediately if you have any about these unlikely but serious side effects: trouble breathing, muscle pain, joint pain, blurred vision, itching, rash, fever. Tell you're physician immediately if you have any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects: irregular heartbeat (e.g., unusually quick or slow heartbeat), chest pain, mental/mood changes, stomach pain, yellowing about eyes or skin, unusual bleeding or bruising. Hm Acid Reducer Precautions: Before using this medication, tell youre doctor or pharmacist some your medical history, especially of: heartburn combined with lightheadedness or sweating or dizziness, chest pain or shoulder/jaw pain especially with shortness of breath, pain spreading to arms or neck or shoulders, unexplained weight loss, liver or kidney problems, severe stomach pain, other stomach problems (e.g., tumors), any allergies (including medication allergies). Smoking can help cause ulcers and can prevent them from healing. Smoking should be avoided. Alcohol can irritate the stomach and cause bleeding. Consult some your physician about safe use of alcohol. talk to youre doctor about safe use of this product for children. Tell youre physician if you are pregnant before using this med. Ranitidine passes in to breast milk. Because of the potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using this med isn't recommended. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Hm Acid Reducer medication interactions: Tell youre physician about every prescription and nonprescription pill you may use, especially about: ketoconazole, itraconazole, triazolam. this medication is available in both prescription & over-the- counter formulations. do not take both at the same clock. Ranitidine may affect results of certain medical/laboratory tests (e.g., urine protein). Be sure to tell your healthcare professional you are taking ranitidine. all nonprescription/prescription aspirin or aspirin-like medicine may cause stomach irritation/ulcers. Consult your physician or pharmacist. don't start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

Hm Acid Reducer Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include difficulty breathing, quick heartbeat, tremors, vomiting, restlessness, weakness, fatigue, or dizziness.

Hm Acid Reducer special notes: do not share this drug with others. you're doctor may recommend some lifestyle changes such as stop- smoking programs, diet changes, & exercise to help treat and prevent heartburn.

If you missed Hm Acid Reducer dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near clock of next dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Hm Acid Reducer Storage: Store in room temperature between 36 & 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
