Copd Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in lungs to make breathing easier. it combination medication is used to relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Copd: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with a full glass about water after a meal or snack.
Copd side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur 1'st few days as your body adjusts to medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify your physician if youre breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Copd Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional youre medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, history about ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects of it medication. Inform your pharmacist if you smoke before taking it. Limit youre intake about caffeine containing products while taking this medication as it can increase the risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa & chocolate. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts of it medication are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Copd pill interactions: Tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure tablets, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Copd Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, & seizures.
Copd special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Copd dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take this if this is near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Copd Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store at the bathroom.
