    Guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/decongestant - oral

    Albatussin Sr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. it combination medication is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Albatussin Sr: this medication is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting pills and capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed and chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase youre dose or take it more often than directed.

    Albatussin Sr side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Notify youre physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Albatussin Sr Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any medication allergies. dollars this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this tablet. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Albatussin Sr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, unusual movements about eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

    Albatussin Sr special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

    If you missed Albatussin Sr dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Albatussin Sr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
