V Dec M Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use V Dec M: Take this med by mouth. this must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this pill as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
V Dec M side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1'st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
V Dec M Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. It's not known if this drug appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
V Dec M pill interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, drug for hypertension. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
V Dec M Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
V Dec M special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed V Dec M dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
V Dec M Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
