Decongestant - nasal spray
Oxyfrin Usage: it medication promotes nasal drainage & relieves nasal stuffiness. It's used to relieve symptoms associated with a cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections and another related conditions. this is also used to relieve plugged ears.
How to use Oxyfrin: this drug is used in the nose as directed. To apply nasal spray, first blow your nose to help improve penetration of drug. Keeping your head upright, place the nasal spray just inside nostril being careful not to touch container to the inside about the nose. Squeeze container as you inhale deeply through you're nose. Sniff hard some times to be sure the medication reaches deep in to the nose. do not use it more often than directed or increase your dose. Therapy usually lasts for 3 to 5 days. Excessive use about this medication can actually increase nasal congestion.
Oxyfrin side effects: Stinging, burning, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, drying of the nostrils, and altered taste may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify some your doctor if you develop: rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, shaking about hands, tremors, unusual weakness. this pill can cause dizziness. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Oxyfrin Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional if you have: heart problems, thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, seizure disorder, glaucoma, allergies (especially to sulfites). elderly & child may be more susceptible to effects about this medication. Use this with caution. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with some your doctor. since small amounts of it medication are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Oxyfrin medication interactions: Tell some your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially of: high blood pressure medications, antidepressants, cough-and-cold or allergy meds. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Oxyfrin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, unconsciousness, sweating, dizziness, headache, or unusually fast heartbeat.

If you missed Oxyfrin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Oxyfrin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom. don't share the container with anyone else. Throw away container when drug is no longer required.
