Guaiatussin Pe Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) help relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guaiatussin Pe: Take this medication by mouth as directed. do not increase dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Guaiatussin Pe side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness or headache may occur 1st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.
Guaiatussin Pe Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart problems, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. this is not known if this drug appears in breast milk; consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.
Guaiatussin Pe pill interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, med since depression, high blood pressure drugs. Tell you're doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Guaiatussin Pe Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Guaiatussin Pe special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Guaiatussin Pe dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guaiatussin Pe Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
