Hm Tussin Cf Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat cough and relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.

How to use Hm Tussin Cf: it med is best taken with a full glass about water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets and capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.

Hm Tussin Cf side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify youre physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

Hm Tussin Cf Precautions: Tell some your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult some your doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. this medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Hm Tussin Cf tablet interactions: Tell your pharmacist about all prescription and nonprescription tablets you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Hm Tussin Cf Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

Hm Tussin Cf special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Hm Tussin Cf dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take this if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Hm Tussin Cf Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
