Tolnaftin Usage: this medication is used to treat fungal skin infections.

How to use Tolnaftin: Clean & dry the affected area before applying med. To apply, gently massage a small amount of the tablet to the affected area and surrounding skin. Continue to use tablet as prescribed for full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too early may not clear infection, causing it to return. Cover with bandage only if instructed to do so by some your pharmacist. it may take one week before any improvement is seen. If no improvement is seen after 4 weeks, consult your physician. other medication may be necessary. do not apply this medication into eyes, nose or mouth; use carefully when applying close to these areas.

Tolnaftin side effects: this med can cause burning, stinging or redness when 1-st applied to skin. this should disappear at few days as your body adjusts to drug. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your physician promptly. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Tolnaftin Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: other skin conditions, any allergies. Before using this drug, tell your pharmacist if you pregnant or are planning pregnancy, or breast-feeding.

Tolnaftin drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription & nonprescription meds you may use, especially of: other skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

Tolnaftin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Tolnaftin special notes: this medication is prescribed since your current condition only. don't use this for another infection or share it with someone else. another infection later on may require different medicine.

If you missed Tolnaftin dose: If you miss dose, apply as soon as remembered & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Tolnaftin Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture & sunlight. Avoid freezing. Keep powdered form from getting wet. do not store in the bathroom. Keep out of reach about children.
