Stannous Fluoride Usage: it medication contains fluoride. Fluoride makes teeth more resistant to decay and bacteria that cause cavities. it med is used as a topical gel application for the teeth.

How to use Stannous Fluoride: it medication is used as topical gel to be applied with toothbrush. Use once or twice daily after thorough brushing & flossing. Shake excess water from toothbrush. Apply gel liberally to toothbrush (cover bristle surface completely). Brush every surfaces of teeth for 1 minute. Be sure to swish gel around and between teeth. Expectorate (spit out) any excess. do not swallow gel. do not rinse mouth, eat or drink for 30 minutes after using.

Stannous Fluoride side effects: this drug may cause staining of teeth or tongue. the stains can be removed by your dentist. Changes in taste can also occur while using it medication. If this tablet is accidentally swallowed, stomach upset or nausea may occur. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.

Stannous Fluoride Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional youre medical history, especially: all illnesses, if you are on a low-salt diet, if you live in an area where drinking water is fluoridated, allergies (especially to fluoride). this fluoride supplement is used when the drinking water contains low fluoride levels (less then 0.7 parts per million). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor.

Stannous Fluoride med interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or healthcare professional approval.

Stannous Fluoride Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, excess saliva, stomach pain, diarrhea, irritability, seizures, & loss of consciousness.

Stannous Fluoride special notes: Fluoride is found in tea, fluoridated water & fish eaten with bones such as sardines.

If you missed Stannous Fluoride dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Stannous Fluoride Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
