Tussin Pe Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) help relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Tussin Pe: Take this medication by mouth as directed. do not increase dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Tussin Pe side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness or headache may occur 1'st several days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify some your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Tussin Pe Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: heart problems, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. It's not known if this med appears in breast milk; consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Tussin Pe drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, high blood pressure drugs. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or physician approval.
Tussin Pe Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
Tussin Pe special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed Tussin Pe dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Tussin Pe Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
