Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral
B Tuss Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use B Tuss: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. it drug is best taken with a full glass about water after meal or snack.
B Tuss side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur first several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
B Tuss Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of medication dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication causes you to feel drowsy. USD this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with some your pharmacist. since small amounts about this medication are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
B Tuss pill interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure medications, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain pill (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
B Tuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
B Tuss special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this pill. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed B Tuss dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
B Tuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom.
