Tannic 12 Usage: it combination cough suppressant/antihistamine medication is used to treat cough due to the common cold, asthma, or bronchitis.
How to use Tannic 12: Take this med by mouth usually 2 times per day as needed; or as directed by your physician. Unless otherwise directed, drink plenty of clear fluids when you use this drug. the fluid will help to loosen phlegm/mucus in your breathing passages.
Tannic 12 side effects: Drowsiness, nausea, & dry mouth and nose may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate doctor attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Tannic 12 Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional some your medical history, especially of: high blood pressure, heart problems, thyroid problems, glaucoma (narrow angle type), prostate problems, any allergies. it drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. Caution is advised when using this medication in elderly since they may be more sensitive to pill side effects. this med shouldnot be used in newborns. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Tannic 12 med interactions: Tell your doctor about all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: MAO inhibitors used within the last 2 weeks (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Tell your doctor if you take any meds that cause drowsiness such as: medicine since sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti- anxiety pills (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine, morphine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine or tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure medications (e.g., carbamazepine, topiramate), muscle relaxants, certain other antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask you're doctor about safe use of these products. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Tannic 12 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, deep sleep, seizures.

If you missed Tannic 12 dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time about next dose, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
