    Guaifenesin - oral

    (gweye-fen-eh-sin)

    common brand names: Guiatuss, Organidin NR, Robitussin

    Mucobid L Usage: this drug is used to relieve a dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm and mucous in lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.

    How to use Mucobid L: Take each dose of this medication with full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous and clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. do not take it med for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your doctor. If cough lasts for more then one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult your healthcare professional.

    Mucobid L side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

    Mucobid L Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your physician before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Mucobid L a drug interactions: Tell your physician of every medicines you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect the results of certain lab tests. Be sure some your caregivers are aware you use it medicine before lab tests performed. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Mucobid L Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

    Mucobid L special notes: this med comes in variety about dose forms such as tablets, capsules, long acting tablets or capsules & a syrup. Ask you're doctor or physician to recommend the best product for you.

    If you missed Mucobid L dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Mucobid L Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
