Ear Drops Usage: this drug contains benzocaine, topical anesthetic which numbs the skin, and antipyrine, a pain reliever. it is used to relieve pain and discomfort of certain ear problems.
How to use Ear Drops: it pill is used in the ears as directed. To administer properly, lie on you're side or tilt head so ear faces up. Put prescribed number of drops into ear using dropper provided. don't insert the dropper at to the ear and avoid touching dropper to ear or any other surface. To allow drops to run in to the ear canal, hold earlobe up & back in adults and down & back in children. Keep the ear tilted for 1 to 2 minutes. soft cotton plug may be gently inserted into the ear to keep the ear drops in place. Use a plug only if directed to do so.
Ear Drops side effects: Minor stinging, burning or tenderness of the ear may occur when this is first used. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, or if your symptoms do not improve within few days, inform your physician. Notify your pharmacist if any of next effects occur: irritation, rash, itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
Ear Drops Precautions: Tell youre physician if you have any of following conditions: infection, any allergies. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Ear Drops drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Ear Drops Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken this medicine by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Ear Drops special notes: for comfort, drops may be warmed to body temperature by rolling the bottle in your hands for few minutes before using them. do not heat in microwave or place in hot water.
If you missed Ear Drops dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Ear Drops Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. Avoid freezing.
