Natural Calcium Usage: Calcium supplements are used to ensure an adequate intake of calcium during important periods about bone growth such as in childhood, during pregnancy and while breast-feeding. in adults, calcium is used to prevent osteoporosis (deterioration of bone).
How to use Natural Calcium: Take with large glass of water during or after meal. Use as directed. If you are using chewable product, it must be chewed well before swallowing. If you are using an effervescent med, it must be dissolved at glass of cold water or juice before taking this. Allow the tablet to stop fizzing before drinking. Drink liquid slowly. Because calcium can interfere with the absorption of other tablets, do not take another meds within 2 hours of taking calcium.
Natural Calcium side effects: Calcium is generally well tolerated. High levels of calcium can cause some adverse effects. Notify your physician if you experience any of next symptoms: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach pain, thirst, dry mouth, increased urination. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Natural Calcium Precautions: If you have any of following health problems, consult you're doctor before using this medication: diarrhea, stomach trouble, parathyroid disease, lung disease (sarcoidosis), kidney stones. Tell youre healthcare professional if you are pregnant before using this medication. some forms of calcium known to be excreted into breast milk. Though they're have been no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Natural Calcium drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of every prescription & nonprescription meds you may use, especially: vitamins, tetracycline, quinolone antibiotics (e.g. ciprofloxacin), gallium nitrate, cellulose sodium phosphate, etidronate, magnesium sulfate, phenytoin. do not eat large amounts of bran or whole grain cereals & breads. They may reduce absorption of calcium. Also, consuming alcohol, large amounts of caffeine, & tobacco smoking may affect absorption of calcium. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Natural Calcium Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea & vomiting, weakness, or constipation.
Natural Calcium special notes: Foods rich in calcium include: dairy goods & leafy green vegetables such as broccoli, kale, & collards. look for foods fortified with calcium such as orange juice & flour. there is no difference between calcium products derived from natural or synthetic sources.
If you missed Natural Calcium dose: Take missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost clock for the next dose. If it is time for the following dose, skip missed dose & resume your regular schedule. do not double the dose.
Natural Calcium Storage: Store at room temperature & keep away from moisture and sunlight. do not store at the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms.
