Mucinex Usage: it medication is used to relieve a dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Mucinex: Take each dose of this medication with a full glass about water. Water will also help break-up the mucous and clear congestion. Drink plenty about fluids while taking it med, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. do not take this medication for chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If the cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your healthcare professional.
Mucinex side effects: this drug can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Mucinex Precautions: If you have any of following health problems, consult you're doctor before using this medication: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Guaifenesin may affect results about certain lab tests. Be sure you're caregivers are aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Mucinex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and unusually slow heartbeat.

If you missed Mucinex dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost time since the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Mucinex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms about it medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
