Gua Pc Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. this combination drug is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Gua Pc: this drug is best taken with, or after, a meal or snack. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.
Gua Pc side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur first several days as your body adjusts to med. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you missed Gua Pc dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
