    Naphazoline - ophthalmic

    (nah-fazz-oh-leen, off-thal-mick)

    common brand names: Albalon, Clear Eyes, Naphcon, Vasoclear, Vasocon

    Albalon Usage: Naphazoline is a decongestant used to relieve redness, puffiness, itchy and watering eyes associated with colds, allergies or eye irritations.

    How to use Albalon: To apply eye drops, wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or let it touch youre eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number about drops. see downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner about the eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the drug from draining away from eye. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. do not rinse dropper. If you are using other kind of eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying other eye medications.

    Albalon side effects: this medication may temporarily sting your eyes for minute or two when you 1st use this. If stinging continues or becomes bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Vision may be blurred or unstable since a few minutes after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Inform your pharmacist if you develop: severe eye pain, headache, redness/itching/swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Albalon Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: heart problems, glaucoma, allergies (especially pill allergies). it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. It's not known if this pill appears in breast milk; consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Albalon pill interactions: Tell you're physician about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Albalon Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Albalon special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Albalon dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use if it is almost time for the following dose. Instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' doses.

    Albalon Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. Discard if drops become discolored or cloudy.
