Triactin Cold & Cough Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat & itchy, watery eyes. this combination tablet is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Triactin Cold & Cough: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more much about times than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. liquid suspension form of this med must be shaken well before using.
Triactin Cold & Cough side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur the first few days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're healthcare professional if you develop any of following effects while using this pill: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. Triactin Cold & Cough Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, loss of coordination, slow or shallow breathing, sweating, dizziness, headache, hyperactivity, bizarre behavior, seizures, slow or quick heartbeat, or unconsciousness.
Triactin Cold & Cough special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Triactin Cold & Cough dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Triactin Cold & Cough Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
